I think it's a little bit overdue,
but I'm now about to unleash the inevitable rant on the Mac computer
that I've been planning for a long time, but never got around to because
I'm too busy being awesome places. So anyway, I do a lot of computer
studies and I used to be one of those people that would tell all of
my friends looking to buy computers to invest in a Mac. However the
more that I began to think about it the more I fully understood.
See the only reason I would
tell these people to get into a Mac is because I felt they were too
dumb to properly protect themselves from viruses. Not only that, but
the Apple desktop seemingly babies you into computer usage. Regardless
I would like to cover a topic that every article I've ever read about
Mac: Why Macs don't get viruses. Yes, I will admit there probably aren't
too many viruses for the Mac out there, but no one ever states why.
I'm sure there are some fanboys out there that are thinking "Itz
becuz macs r da shizzle lolerz!", but rather that's not the reason
at all. Let me demonstrate with my own personal site. If you look to
the left you see that weird ass logo right under my links. That's a
visitor tracker, if you click on it you can view my visitor stats for
the entire lifetime of the tracker.
So, lets say I'm an asshole
and I want to write a device that can steal my users information when
they click that button. I only have the need or time to hack into one
operating system, but which should I choose. Lets say my users are complete
dumbasses and I can steal $500 from every user that clicks on a link
in my site. I currently pulled in a total of 41535 users on Windows,
but I only had 905 users on a Mac OS. So here's a table:

Holy shit, I could be a millionaire
from ripping people off on Windows, but if I choose to hack into Mac
I wouldn't have even gotten a half million dollars yet. Which would
you choose to hack into? The truth is that over 95% of my users, and
all computer users for that matter, turn on their computer every day
to the Windows opening window. If I am going to spend my valuable time
hacking into something it would be something that would allow me to
scam 95% of the computer population.
So what would happen if the
computer industry woke up one day decided to just spend the millions
upon millions of dollars to convert to Apple Mac OS? Would virus coders
be out of work?
Yeah ok, not to mention that
Apple holds your shit hostage unless you purchase their shit. Stick
to the PC if you really know what the fuck you're doing.
